RubyHillsWind Host Landholder Meeting 18 May 2022 

Interested turbine host landholders within The RubyHillsWind project were invited to a relaxed project update held at the Walcha Showground where the following topics were covered:

Community Engagement
Scoping Report Submission
Where to from here
Option to Lease Agreements

WalchaEnergy engaged Ecological Australia (Environmental Consultancy Company) to commence the environmental studies as a part of the scoping report for the RubyHills Project.  Ecological presented the preliminary results to the host landholders.

A well attended and successful evening giving landholders a chance to gather, chat and ask questions about the project.

Great Success - RubyHillsWind Community Information on display at Woolbrook Hall and Walcha Showground April 2022

​Thank you to all that attended the Walcha Community Information Drop-in sessions held by WalchaEnergy regarding the the RubyHillsWind renewable energy project.

The information displayed provided all that attended transparent, interesting and informative news.  Maps and montages were available for all of the community to view.  If you were unable to attend the 1st community information evenings, please do not hesitate to drop into the office at 13W Fitzroy Street, Walcha.

GE produces world-first prototype of fully recyclable wind turbine blade March 2022

A prototype of a world-first 100 per cent recyclable wind turbine blade has been produced at a manufacturing facility in Spain, marking a new milestone for the Zero wastE Blade ReseArch (ZEBRA) consortium behind the project and a big step towards “closing the loop” for wind power.
