As the developer of the Ruby Hills Wind project, Walcha Energy is committed to some of the most generous benefit-sharing arrangements in Australia. The Ruby Hills Wind project is offering Walcha a community and neighbour benefit scheme of $800,000 per year for the life of the project. These funds will be distributed by the community to the community.

Walcha Energy are supportive of local employment. There will be many employment opportunities for local trades and contractors to take advantage of during the construction of the Ruby Hills Wind project. 10-15 full time employees will be needed to maintain the turbines over the lifetime of the project.
